The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the best offensive rosters in the NFL. Spearheaded by Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith, the Eagles are hard to stop. However, beyond those top guys, Philadelphia lacks good depth.

This is especially true in the wide receiver room, which is why they made an in-division trade with the Washington Commanders for Jahan Dotson last year. Unfortunately, Dotson struggled as the third wide receiver, only catching 57% (19/33) of his passes for 216 yards.

As a result of his struggles, Philadelphia brought in Terrace Marshall Jr. this offseason. Marshall is seemingly off to a good start with the Eagles after impressing in mandatory minicamp.

Terrace Marshall Jr Making Noise Heading into Training Camp

Many Eagles fans probably thought nothing of it when Philadelphia signed Marshall to a one-year deal. After all, the former second-round pick has been a bust to this point in his career.

Over four seasons, he has recorded 67 receptions on 116 targets for 808 yards and one touchdown. Moreover, the 25-year-old has already played for two teams: the Carolina Panthers( three years) and the Las Vegas Raiders (one year).

Even so, it seems that Marshall is off to a good start with the Eagles. According to Geoffrey A Knox of Eagles Wire, "during the Eagles one day mandatory minicamp Marshall got open over the middle of the field for a long gain early in a 7-on-7 period with the first team, and then he caught a touchdown pass from Hurts on a slant in which he beat Cooper DeJean ."

Furthermore, during one of his press conferences this spring, DeVonta Smith had some positive words about Marshall. Smith said, "Marshall’s big frame (6-2, 200 pounds) adds 'versatility' to their room." Admittedly, Smith's words don't have a lot of substance, but a teammate having a newcomer's back is always a good sign.

If Marshall keeps impressing in training camp and the preseason, the Eagles may have found another under-the-radar steal in free agency.
