The Philadelphia Eagles were at the mountaintop of the NFL world as they secured Super Bowl 59. That was a great accomplishment for the team and the fanbase but the focus has quickly shifted over to the 2025 season.

Free agency is around the corner, and Philadelphia has multiple key players slated to hit the open market. Teams have already started poaching people from the Eagles coaching staff, as Kellen Moore left to become the New Orleans Saints head coach.

That left a void at offensive coordinator, but the Eagles named Kevin Patullo as the new OC for the 2025 season.

With Patullo taking over, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer revealed what he's hearing from his sources about the 43-year-old.

New Info on Kevin Patullo Has Emerged

McLane wrote that Patullo immediately became the candidate to replace Moore since the team wanted to keep continuity going forward.

He's been on the Eagles coaching staff since 2021, holding roles as Pass game coordinator and associate head coach. Patullo has developed a great relationship with Nick Sirianni and the head coach believes that he's ready to make that jump.

The New Jersey native has never called plays at any level despite being involved in the game-day process. A big reason that Patullo got the offensive coordinator position is his relationship with Jalen Hurts.

He has grown to learn Hurts' passing tendencies and will keep the scheme very similar to what Moore ran in 2024.

Patullo has his work cut out for himself in 2025, as the Eagles have an effective unit this past season. They finished the regular season eighth in total offense (367.2), second in rushing offense (179.3), and seventh in scoring offense (27.2).

Keeping someone around who has a good understanding of the players and the scheme was uber important for Philadelphia and Patullo fit the bill.
