Never-Before-Seen Play Helped Eagles Secure Win in Week 8
The Philadelphia Eagles are now sitting at 5-2 after they've won three games in a row. In Week 8, the Eagles went on the road and defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 37-17.
The Eagles came out of their bye week and found a spark. During the victory over the Bengals on Sunday, receiver DeVonta Smith revealed the Eagles had a play in the vault for a while before bringing it out in Week 8.

In the third quarter, Jalen Hurts uncorked a deep pass to Smith, which he reeled in over the shoulder for a 45-yard touchdown.
The Eagles took the lead after this play and never relinquished it. This showcases the depth of Philadelphia's playbook and how film study goes a long way.
The Eagles believed this play would work seven weeks later and it did flawlessly. Now the Eagles are rolling again and have plenty of momentum heading into Week 9.
The Alabama product also had a bounce-back performance on Sunday. In Week 7 against the New York Giants, he had one catch for -2 yards. Meanwhile, against the Bengals, he had six catches for a team-high 85 yards and one touchdown.
Getting the ball into the hands of your dynamic playmakers is the way good teams win and the Eagles did exactly that in Week 8.
