The Philadelphia Eagles have already undergone significant roster changes since winning the Super Bowl in dominant fashion, seeing legends like Brandon Graham retire while impressive starters such as Mekhi Becton signed elsewhere.
General manager Howie Roseman is typically one step ahead of the curve though and that likely remains the case here. One potential new starter, offensive guard Tyler Steen, is an intriguing name to watch as the Eagles rebuild the offensive line.
He started four games in 2024, including the NFC Championship and Super Bowl, though one former beloved Eagles champion believes Steen needs to improve, imploring the 24-year-old to be more consistent moving forward.

Jason Kelce Wants More Consistency From Eagles G Tyler Steen
Appearing on SportsRadio 94WIP in Philadelphia, retired legend Jason Kelce was asked about Steen and the offensive line depth as a whole.
"I would like to see (Steen) be a little bit more consistent. He's very good at times and other times he'll get a little bit out of balance or he'll get beat," Kelce said. "But he's a good player and somebody I certainly am happy going into a season playing. My concern a little bit is you lose Mekhi (Becton), you lose Fred Johnson. You had the Cam (Jurgens) and Landon (Dickerson) injuries going into the Super Bowl and after that."
Kelce's right that Steen could be more consistent. He ranked just 130th out of 135 qualified guards at Pro Football Focus, particularly struggling as a run blocker, which is obviously important to the Eagles' offense.
That said, Philadelphia was still undefeated in the games Steen started. Originally a third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Steen now has a full offseason under offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland to prepare to be a starter. It's his time to shine, but if he struggles, the Eagles need to find better options behind him.
"I want to see who is going to replace this depth issue," Kelce continued. "Who's going to be the Tyler Steen this year if Tyler Steen is a starter and somebody needs to play? Is this a major drop-off that really hurts the unit?"
It's an important question for Roseman to answer, and it's a safe bet that the team will target at least one offensive lineman in the draft next month. For now, it's on Steen to prove that he can heed Kelce's words and become a dominant force in the trenches.
