The Philadelphia Eagles have plenty of time to celebrate their Super Bowl victory before they have to start gearing up for a defense of their championship.
This is a roster built to compete for years to come thanks to general manager Howie Roseman's excellent team-building, but there are still some key decisions that need to be made in the coming months.
One of those choices revolves around veteran cornerback James Bradbury, who missed the entire season with an injury as Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell emerged as stars in the secondary. The Eagles don't have a true need for Bradberry, making him a logical candidate to find a new home. Based on new comments, it sounds like he's growing open to the idea of playing elsewhere.

James Bradberry Anxious to Play in 2025 in Philadelphia or Elsewhere
After spending the entire season on injured reserve, Bradberry told the media that he was ready for an opportunity to show what he can do. He's willing to play either cornerback or safety, leaving the door open for a return to Philadelphia.
Whether or not he wants to stay with the Eagles might not be the most important factor. Bradberry will be 32 years old before the season starts. He's coming off a major injury and was ineffective even prior to going down, giving up 12.3 yards per completion for a career-worst 114.3 passer rating in 2023. With how well the Eagles played in his absence, does it really make sense to keep his contract on the books?
Bradberry still has one year left on his deal, carrying a cap hit north of $5 million. He could be a logical trade target for a team in need of a veteran defensive back, so expect Roseman to explore the market before ultimately deciding.
Thanks to DeJean and Mitchell's emergence alongside young pieces like Isaiah Rodgers and Kelee Ringo, Bradberry's services aren't truly needed anymore. The Eagles likely know it and it sounds like Bradberry does too.
