The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-13 last Sunday. However, quarterback Jalen Hurts entered the game with a broken finger on his non-throwing hand. which he seemed to suffer this injury during their Week 14 victory over the Carolina Panthers.

While Hurts performed well in last Sunday's victory over the Steelers, he admitted to NBC Sports Philadelphia after the game that it did impact his play, saying, "It's broken, and it did impact my play."  Still, the plan is for Hurts to play against the Washington Commanders this Sunday.

Despite that, Hurts was yet again asked about his broken finger during his Wednesday press conference. Hurts gave this update on his finger, “It’s on the up and up... Breaks don’t heal in a day.", according to Martin Frank of the Delaware News Journal.

Eagles News: Jalen Hurts Provides Update on Broken Finger

Hurts' responses to these questions are fairly standard. There's not much else Hurts can say about the healing process of a finger and how it will impact his play considering how things looked when it "affected his play" last week.

Hurts completed 25/32 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns against the Steelers. Although Hurts said his play was impacted by the finger, his numbers sure didn't show it.

Hurts played much better against Pittsburgh than he did against the Panthers, and the Steelers have a significantly better defense. Heading into Sunday, Hurts will be looking to have a better game against the Commanders.

The first time the two teams played, Hurts finished the game 18/28 with 221 passing yards and had 10 rushes for 39 yards and a touchdown. While that production led the Eagles to victory, Hurts is surely looking to have a better passing day after all the drama that's been going on with A.J. Brown.

As far as the broken finger, fans will hope it's at least close to fully healed up by the time the playoffs arrive.
