The defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles are set to head to training camp next month as they kick their title defense into another gear.

The Eagles lost several familiar faces in free agency, as those players signed with other teams in the NFL. Philadelphia will hope those replacements can step up to fill those voids on offense and defense.

It won’t be as easy as the Eagles had one of the more impressive playoff runs, which included dominating wins in the NFC title game and Super Bowl 59. That said, several former Eagles are still waiting to get brought in for a workout from a new team.

Some of these players were on the Super Bowl team last season, while others haven’t been with the organization for a few years.

James Bradberry is the most notable former Eagle still looking to get signed after missing last season due to injury. Then there’s also Carson Wentz, who was a backup with the Kansas City Chiefs, but no team has signed him.

However, Philly fans might not realize that former first-round pick WR Nelson Agholor still hasn’t signed with anybody yet.

The 32-year-old pass-catcher spent five years in Philadelphia, which included a Super Bowl title in 2017. Agholor’s time with the Eagles had its ups and downs, as he never reached his full potential as a former first-round pick.

That said, the veteran wideout showed up during the 2017 season, where he had 62 receptions (95 targets) for 768 yards and eight touchdowns. He also posted nine receptions (11 targets) for 84 yards in the Super Bowl against the Patriots.

After leaving the Eagles, Agholor has played for the Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots, and Baltimore Ravens. He spent the last two years with the Ravens. Last season, he recorded 14 receptions (29 targets) for 231 yards and two touchdowns across 14 games.

At this stage of his career, Agholor is more of a WR3/4, which could come in handy for a team that needs a veteran option during training camp. However, with names such as Amari Cooper and Keenan Allen still available, the ex-Eagles receiver might be waiting for some time.
