Eagles WR Kicked to Curb After Week 13 No-Show
The Philadelphia Eagles are 10-2 on the season and have won eight games in a row. In Week 13, they went on the road to play the Baltimore Ravens, coming out with a 24-19 win.
This contest was the latest example of how resilient this team is, as they beat one of the best teams in the league. Even though they were victorious, the Eagles are still looking to improve the roster. On Monday, it was reported that Philadelphia is releasing WR Parris Campbell.
Eagles News: Parris Campbell Was Released on Monday
According to Tom Pelissero, the Eagles waived the veteran receiver. Back in March, Campbell signed a one-year deal with Philadelphia but has failed to make an impact.
He has just six catches for 30 yards and one touchdown in 2024. The Ohio State product has logged 140 total snaps this season, including 28 snaps against the Ravens. He finished with zero catches after receiving one target.
It appears that Philadelphia will be relying on other veterans as depth on the team as they have five games left on the regular season schedule.
The passing attack goes through A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, who is dealing with a hamstring injury. Smith didn't play in Week 13 but the arrow is pointing up for him returning in Week 14.
Philadelphia brought in Campbell as a low-risk signing this offseason but it hasn't panned out the way they imagined. We'll see if he clears waivers and gets brought back to the practice squad. But for now, he's not on an active roster.
