The Philadelphia Eagles officially put the rest of the NFL on notice with their win over the Baltimore Ravens Sunday evening. The Eagles' offense showed off its balance and managed to outscore Baltimore without star WR2 DeVonta Smith, while Philly's defense brought the physicality to keep the Ravens' dangerous attack in check.

This type of performance opens plenty of eyes, and that appears to especially be the case for one member of Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson's family.

Jackson told reporters in his postgame press conference that his mother "cussed him out" over the phone following the Ravens' defeat. She took issue with the dual-threat QB not utilizing his legs more against a Philadelphia defense that she believed had allowed some opens lanes Sunday afternoon.

The former MVP said he was trying to allow routes to develop, but ultimately sided with his mom, stating she was right.

Jackson is no stranger to his mother pushing him to be the best player he can, so Eagles fans shouldn't view this in a negative way, but it's still notable to see how much this team's defense frustrated one of the best offensive weapons in the entire league.

Jackson had little troubles on the ground Sunday, picking up a healthy 79 yards on just eight attempts, including a 39-yard scamper. However, with how physical Philadelphia came out -- including safety Cooper DeJean making a viral takedown of Baltimore's Derrick Henry -- it's no surprise the Ravens' QB was a bit reluctant to take off more than he did.

This showdown provided plenty of material to learn from on both sides, and the performance from Vic Fangio's defense gives Philly a blueprint to follow as it prepares for other dual threats at quarterback in the playoffs.
