3. Jahan Dotson, WR
A lot of Eagles fans were down on Jahan Dotson to start the regular season as they thought he would be a more productive WR3 inside Kellen Moore’s offense.
However, that didn’t happen as the former Washington Commander finished the regular season with 19 receptions (33 targets) for 216 yards. But when the playoffs rolled around, Dotson made plays when his number was called.
To open up the scoring in the wild card game against the Green Bay Packers, Dotson scored his first touchdown as an Eagle. Surprisingly, that was his only catch of the game. The former Penn State wide receiver had no targets or receptions in the Eagles’ next two playoff games.
However, Hurts targeted the young wide receiver in the first quarter in Super Bowl 59, hitting him for 27 yards down the sideline, setting up Philly on the one-yard line. From there, Hurts took it in for a rushing touchdown on the tush push.
Dotson’s performance in Super Bowl 59 should give Eagles fans hope heading into next season. He can make the splash plays when given the opportunity, and a full offseason to get deeper into the playbook will help that.
If Dotson becomes a big play vertical threat down the field, it will make this Eagles’ offense that much scarier, especially when you have a star running back like Saquon Barkley, who can break off a huge run with one carry.
