The Philadelphia Eagles' future is looking brighter following a strong 2025 NFL draft weekend performance. The defending Super Bowl Champions did a fantastic job of fleshing out head coach Nick Sirianni's roster, selecting 10 promising rookies who might develop into important Eagles contributors one day.
The Eagles' quest to add new blood didn't stop at the draft, though. General manager Howie Roseman has since signed a handful of promising undrafted rookies while offering rookie minicamp tryouts to other team-less prospects.
Eagles Invite Undrafted UNC EDGE Kaimon Rucker to Rookie Minicamp Camp
On Wednesday afternoon, CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz reported that the Eagles have invited North Carolina pass rusher Kaimon Rucker for a rookie minicamp tryout. According to the NFL's website, Philadelphia's three-day rookie camp will take place on Friday and Saturday.

It's surprising that a talented disruptor like Rucker went undrafted, let alone the fact that he's still unsigned at this point. A good chunk of NFL mock drafts had the Hartwell, GA native projected as a Day 3 selection, with draft expert Lance Zierlein predicting that he'd be taken in the seventh round.
Although his being unselected caught some people off guard, the Eagles won't complain about Rucker falling into their lap.
A former second-team All-SEC pass rusher, Rucker made some noise throughout his five years with the Tar Heels. The 23-year-old EDGE racked up 100 solo tackles (39 for lost yardage), 22.0 sacks, four forced fumbles, and three broken-up passes across 58 games in a UNC uniform. That's without mentioning his generating an 81.8 Pro Football Focus pass rush grade in 2024 after racking up 31 pressures on 165 pass-rush snaps.
In other words, he looks like a natural fit to join a Philadelphia pass rush that was graded second-best in the NFL last season.
If he earns a roster spot, Rucker's outlook would be quite bright playing under defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. The 66-year-old Eagles coach played a big role in unlocking linebacker Zack Baun's potential as a pass disruptor, and Philadelphia fans would love nothing more than for Fangio to have a similar impact on the undrafted rookie.
With rookie minicamps beginning in the next few days, it won't be long before Eagles fans have a good idea of whether or not Rucker will have a contract heading his way.
