Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown and Saquon Barkley are trying to get the Eagles' offense back on track, but this won't fix the playcalling issues.

The Philadelphia Eagles are desperately trying to get to the bottom of the offensive struggles that have plagued them all season. One of the most dynamic offenses in the NFL last season is looking like a shell of itself through five weeks, causing a rift between the offensive stars, as well as between players and offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo. With only a few days to prepare for the Thursday Night Football clash against the Giants, it's all hands on deck for the Eagles as they try to work out the root causes for the anemic offense.

With this in mind, Saquon Barkley, Jalen Hurts, and AJ Brown had a long, positive meeting that lasted a couple of hours, per The Philly Voice's Jimmy Kempski. While we don't know the details of the conversations, the subject matter is obvious.

Eagles' Offensive Stars Try to Squash the Beef in Monday's Meeting

AJ Brown has been voicing his frustrations with the offense in the last several weeks, which boiled over to the field in Week 5, where he looked disengaged at times. The most notable play of the night occurred when the star WR cut his route short, causing Jalen Hurts to overthrow a deep pass.

The clear intention to force-feed the receivers in the passing game seemingly worked early before the offense stagnated once again in the second half. Barkley went on to list his set of frustrations after the game, highlighting the divide between the run game and the passing game for the Eagles. There seems to be a disagreement among the Eagles' offensive stars and the coaching staff about how much to run the ball versus rely on Jalen Hurts' arm.

This meeting is reminiscent of the meeting Hurts and Nick Sirianni seemingly had during last year's bye week. During Philly's Week 5 bye (coincidentally around this time last year), Sirianni and Hurts took a big step towards working on their relationship, Hurts characterizing it as the first time they had a conversation in nearly a year. The Eagles immediately went on a winning streak after this, and the rest is history.

Considering how Brown and Hurts seem to have an icy relationship, as revealed by Brandon Graham last season, this meeting likely had a similar vibe to last year's meeting with Sirianni and the star QB. Eagles fans have to hope that it produces similar results and ends with a trip to the Super Bowl.
