The Philadelphia Eagles will be on the search for a new offensive coordinator only two days after winning Super Bowl 59. The Eagles saw Kellen Moore officially take the head coaching job with the New Orleans Saints, which has been rumored for weeks.

With Moore leaving for the Big Easy, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni will again look for another offensive coordinator. Philadelphia fans hope Sirianni and the Eagles’ front office make the correct decision as they saw how things went downhill in 2023 after their first Super Bowl appearance under Sirianni in 2022.

The good news for Eagles fans is that the team is already considering a potential replacement for Moore.

Kevin Patullo to Receive Interest for Eagles and Saints OC Roles

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Eagles passing game coordinator/associate head coach Kevin Patullo will receive “strong consideration” for Philadelphia and the Saints’ OC vacancies.

It’s not surprising to see Patullo in the conversation for the Saints OC job, even though Eagles QBs coach Doug Nussmeier has also been linked to the vacancy. Patullo has been with Sirianni for years, dating back to their time with the Indianapolis Colts in 2018.

Patullo has been the Eagles passing game coordinator for the last four years, so it makes sense for Sirianni and Co. to hire him if they want to keep things internal. However, the Eagles must interview two minority candidates to comply with the Rooney Rule.

The Eagles should do their due diligence and interview multiple candidates to get their thoughts on the offense going forward. Before the Eagles hired Kellen Moore as the offensive coordinator last year, Philadelphia interviewed Kliff Kingsbury and Jerrod Johnson.

Even though the new league year doesn’t start until March, the Eagles already have some work to do as they look ahead to the 2025 season.
