The Philadelphia Eagles' biggest question mark for the last several months has been around AJ Brown's future. With the NFL Scouting Combine taking place this week in Indianapolis, all 32 teams are in the same place, which has led to more trade conversations.

While it doesn't seem like the Eagles are shopping Brown, their asking price was revealed. Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Howie Roseman is asking for a 1st and 2nd round pick in exchange for Brown. That essentially means that he'll be back in Philadelphia for 2026.

Meanwhile, head coach Nick Sirianni didn't give a straightforward answer regarding Brown's future. When speaking to the media on Feb. 24, Sirianni said, "Will A.J. be here next season? I think we're still in a spot, like, I can't guarantee how anything is going to play out into next season. I'm thinking I'm going to be the coach next season, but you can't guarantee anything past tomorrow."

With Sirianni not saying that Brown will be back for the 2026 season and Roseman revealing his asking price, it seems Philadelphia is at a crossroads with its decision on Brown.

Sirianni, Roseman May Have Differing Opinions Around AJ Brown

While Brown is one of the most talented WRs in the league, the odds are slim that a team will offer Philly both a first and second round pick. That's a hefty price tag, and Roseman put that out there for a reason. If a team offers them that package, they would certainly accept, but the fact that Sirianni didn't make it clear that Brown will be back is an interesting element.

Earlier in his presser, Sirianni noted he would want him around for next season, yet his comments following clouded that. Regardless of what happens, Brown gives the Eagles a clear-cut WR1. In four seasons with the Birds, Brown had 339 catches for 5,034 receiving yards and 32 touchdowns, including notching 1,000 yards in every season.

Brown was clearly unhappy last season with his target share and how the offense was being run. And with how the season ended, he was right. Nonetheless, the conversations around Philadelphia will revolve around Brown's future until they say he'll 100 percent be back in uniform.

From the way it sounds, the Eagles don't know themselves and will let things pan out. But to avoid more confusion, Sirianni and Roseman need to get on the same page. With free agency two weeks away, talks will only intensify. From the outside looking in, the Eagles are unsure of how to proceed, adding more doubt to an already confusing situation.
