Dallas Goedert is making all the headlines as trade speculation ramps up ahead of the NFL Draft, but he's not the Philadelphia Eagle most likely to be moved before the draft is over.

Goedert's contract is structured so that the Eagles would only free up around $700k in cap space by trading him now, whereas they'd gain $6.5 million in cap space if he were traded after June 1st.

Instead, it's an Eagles defender who is the most likely player to be traded before the week is out.

Eagles Could Trade Kelee Ringo on Draft Day

Kelee Ringo isn't exactly a household name in Philly, but the 22-year-old corner has appeared in all 24 regular-season games and all 5 playoff games since being drafted in 2024, even making five starts. But even with the Eagles' secondary suffering a couple of losses this offseason, moving Ringo could make a lot of sense.

Ringo is expected to compete with new free agent signing Adoree Jackson to replace Darius Slay as the cornerback opposite Quinyon Mitchell — but that's not likely to be much of a competition, and trading Ringo now could net the Eagles a better return than if they wait until after he loses the position battle.

Ringo has largely been a special-teams contributor, and he's struggled mightily in coverage when he does have to line up at corner. He's been thrown at 20 times so far in the NFL, allowing opposing QBs a passer rating of 109.4 and an average of 10.8 yards per target on those looks. For context, only two quarterbacks had a season-long passer rating better than 109.4 in 2024.

Jackson has 66 NFL starts under his belt, and across four years with the New York Giants, held opposing QBs to a passer rating of 84.3 when targeted in coverage. He's also shown plenty of value as a run-stopping cornerback — not a crucial skill for the position, but one that's nice to have.

It's nice to have depth at the position, for sure, but now could be the time to sell high on Ringo. Getting something like the fourth-round pick he originally cost the team would give Philly the opportunity to roll the dice with someone younger who might have more upside than Ringo has shown so far in his career — especially when you consider the success Howie Roseman had drafting DBs in 2024.
