Eagles-Packers Ticket Prices Reach Massive Heights for Wild Card Showdown
It doesn't feel like a biased claim to state that Sunday's Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers matchup is the most exciting game on the NFL's Wild Card Weekend slate. The two teams combined for 25 wins this season (the most of any matchup) and the showdown has a relatively tight 4.5-point spread, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
The economics of the situation also seem to reflect fans agreeing about the quality of this game. According to ticket price data from StubHub, Eagles-Packers at Lincoln Financial Field is the most expensive game to get into this weekend.
Eagles-Packers Ticket Prices: Highest of Wild Card Weekend
Simply getting in the door at the Linc for Eagles-Packers, for a standing-room-only ticket, will run you a minimum of $125 as of Thursday afternoon. Four of the other five matchups of the week have minimum ticket prices below $100, and the closest to the Eagles is a $111 minimum for Ravens-Steelers at M&T Bank Stadium. But $111 in Baltimore will get you an actual seat. In Philly, you'd have to jump up to $154 the cheapest actual seat, which happens to be in the 12th row of the third deck.
Looking to splurge a little? The cheapest single ticket below the upper bowl is coming in at $229 (and that one's a pretty undesirable end-zone section in the second deck).
There are 14 tickets to the game listed at north of $2,000 (good luck selling those ones), and another 76 listed for between $1,000 and $2,000.
And if you've got faith in your Birds and are already thinking of Divisional Round tickets, don't think that acting early is going to get you any crazy deals. Standing-room-only tickets are already listed at a minimum of $208, with the cheapest actual seat being listed at $278.
The Eagles are the hottest show in town and expect ticket prices to continue to soar through the postseason. If the Detroit Lions lose and the Eagles host the NFC Championship, prices could get really crazy.
