The NFL world never seems to take a rest. Mandatory minicamps will be happening around the country this week, including the Philadelphia Eagles, who will have theirs on June 10.
Even though players won't be around for a couple of weeks, the Eagles have another shot to improve their roster with a Pro Bowl player.
Some thoughts on the possibility of Eagles signing Jaire Alexander:

** He makes a ton of sense. Has been an elite player when healthy but injuries have been an issue. Probably undervalued right now. Screams Eagles player that comes to Philly and returns to form

On Monday, it was announced that the Green Bay Packers are going to release CB Jaire Alexander. His name was floated in trade talks since the season ended, but there were no takers. He's now slated to hit the free agent market, and the Eagles could be an interesting landing spot.
Philadelphia had Darius Slay leave in free agency. They still have Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean are two locked-in starters but that third spot is up for grabs.
This could be a marriage that works out for both Philadelphia and Alexander. When healthy, Alexander is one of the best players at his position. I mean, just look at his resume. The Louisville product has two Pro Bowls and two First Team All-Pros under his belt.
Philadelphia currently has $31 million available in cap space per Spotrac, so they have the funds to give Alexander a one-year, incentive-heavy deal for the 2025 season. In 78 career games, Alexander has 287 total tackles, 70 pass deflections, and 12 interceptions.
He would be a fantastic addition and worth the risk for Philadelphia. They are seeking to defend their Super Bowl title, and a player of this caliber is always worth having the conversation. GM Howie Roseman has never been afraid to take a big swing and Alexander is that exact kind of move.
He wasn't able to win a title in Green Bay, and the Eagles may be his best shot at one in 2025.
