The Philadelphia Eagles are focused on fine-tuning the roster for the 2025 season. With them being Super Bowl champions, everyone will be looking to take down the Birds.
On Monday, the Eagles released cornerback Darius Slay in a move that will save Philadelphia $4.3 million against the cap as a post-June-1 cut. The moves didn't stop, as the Eagles released cornerback James Bradberry on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
The #Eagles have informed cornerback James Bradberry he will be released when the new league year starts, per league sources. His agent can speak to other teams in advance.

Eagles Cut James Bradberry on Tuesday
Fowler added that Bradberry's agent will be able to speak with teams in advance to gauge his interest on the market.
Bradberry has been with the Eagles since 2022, but his role with the team has faded. He tore his Achilles before the 2024 season began and was sidelined for the entire championship run. Granted, Bradberry would have been a depth piece for the Eagles as they revamped their secondary last offseason.
His departure doesn't come as a surprise, yet this move finally ended things. In 33 games with Philadelphia, Bradberry recorded 98 total tackles, 30 pass deflections, and four interceptions. Despite being a stellar defender in 2022, Bradberry's tenure with the Eagles is remembered for the infamous holding call against JuJu Smith-Schuster in Super Bowl LVII.
James Bradberry: “It was a holding. I tugged his jersey. I was hoping they would let it slide."

Bradberry has recently been open to playing at safety, and that could be valuable for him on the open market.
Philadelphia's secondary is filled with young difference-makers like Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, Reed Blankenship, and C.J. Gardner-Johnson. While the Eagles have left the door open for a potential return for Slay, that won't be the case for Bradberry.
GM Howie Roseman has done an exceptional job building out this roster and making some quality additions in free agency. Due to his outstanding drafting and superb scouting by Philadelphia, they can officially turn the page on Bradberry.
