The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for their Divisional-Round matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. After their dominant win over the Green Bay Packers in the Wild-Card weekend, Eagles fans are expecting more of the same.

In preparation for the game, the Eagles made a couple of roster moves to give them additional depth. Taking advantage of the fact that practice squad players can be promoted an unlimited number of times in the postseason, the Eagles elevated fullback Khari Blasingame and linebacker Nicholas Morrow to the active roster, per team insider Eliot Shorr-Parks.

Eagles Elevate Khari Blasingame and Nicholas Morrow Ahead of Rams Game

Morrow had signed with the Eagles earlier in the week after Nakobe Dean suffered a season-ending knee injury. The veteran linebacker spent all of 2023 with Philadelphia, starting in 12 regular-season and one postseason game. The 29-year-old defender will likely see limited defensive snaps behind Zack Baun, Oren Burks, and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. He may be more of an option on special teams on Sunday.

Blasingame, on the other hand, signed with the Eagles in December after Ben VanSumeren suffered a season-ending injury. The former Bears fullback was elevated to the active roster against Green Bay last week and played two offensive snaps and 10 special teams snaps. He has played in three regular-season games for the Eagles, almost exclusively appearing on special teams.

How big of a role these two veterans will have against the Rams remains to be seen, but more depth and veteran competence is never a bad idea in the postseason.
