The Philadelphia Eagles are known for their excellent roster construction, having dominated the playoffs en route to a Super Bowl victory this year. They've already seen significant changes throughout the offseason though, losing some key contributors while making a big effort to keep rebuilding in hopes of a repeat.
One somewhat controversial Eagle who won't be around is cornerback James Bradberry. He missed the entire 2024 season due to injury and has been told he'll be designated as a post-June 1 cut and so while he hasn't technically been released yet, everyone knows he will be.
Unfortunately for Bradberry, the market has cooled on him around the NFL and fans shouldn't expect to see him find a new team anytime soon.
There’s absolutely no James Bradberry hate here

He came in 2022 and put up a 2nd-team All-Pro season on an NFC Champion
CBs can hit a wall at 30. It happens. He was accountable, classy, a stand-up guy the whole way
Now he gets to leave with a ring

Former Eagles CB James Bradberry Unlikely to Be Signed Soon
Aside from the technical nature of him being a post-June 1 cut, Bradberry wouldn't have a new home yet anyway in all likelihood. He'll turn 32 years old before the season starts, is coming off a serious injury, and suffered through a miserable 2023 campaign.
After being a second-team All-Pro corner in 2022, Bradberry committed the controversial holding penalty against JuJu Smith-Schuster in the Super Bowl that led to the Kansas City Chiefs' game-winning field goal. From that point on, his production spiraled.
He managed just one interception the following year while giving up a 59.4% completion percentage and disastrous 114.3 passer rating when targeted in coverage. Coming off a season in which he allowed just a 51.6 rating, it was clear that something was wrong. Corners typically fall off quickly as their athleticism wanes, and now Bradberry has to deal both with his age and injury history.
At some point, perhaps not even until the fall, Bradberry will find someone desperate enough to add him as a depth piece on a one-year deal. It won't be soon though, and he'll have to prove that the torn Achilles he suffered won't derail his career entirely. If it does, he should still be fondly remembered as an Eagles champion.
Bradberry is facing the mortality of his high school career and here's hoping he's able to prove the doubters wrong this summer.
