Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert has been mentioned in trade rumors, as the Eagles have seen countless veterans sign elsewhere in free agency.

A couple of weeks ago, Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports reported that the Eagles are open to trade discussions regarding the veteran tight end and veteran defensive end Bryce Huff.

Schultz's report was along the same lines as Josina Anderson’s report. Anderson said that sources around the NFL believe Philadelphia is holding out for "at least a fourth-round pick" in a possible Goedert trade.

The 30-year-old Goedert is entering the last year of his deal and will become an unrestricted free agent in 2026. The veteran pass catcher has struggled to stay healthy over the last few years, including this past season, where he played 10 games.

Despite missing some time due to injury, Goedert still turned in 42 receptions (52 targets) for 496 yards and two touchdowns in the regular season. He also played an instrumental role in Philly’s passing game during their run to Super Bowl 59.

On Monday, Eagles GM Howie Roseman was asked about the veteran tight end’s future at the NFL owners meetings, and he didn’t give an update per se.

“There's no update. Obviously, Dallas has been a tremendous player and person for us. ... The opportunities that we got into free agency with [TEs] Harrison Bryant and [Kylen] Granson were just opportunities we felt were good for our football team,” Roseman said (h/t Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer). “I know certainly that Dallas is unique player. So really, that's kind of where we're standing.”

Roseman complemented Goedert's role on the team but also mentioned the free-agent signings of Harrison Bryant and Kylen Granson. Bryant and Granson were signed to one-year deals earlier this month.

Neither Bryant nor Granson is in the same category as Goedert, but adding more TE depth is a telling sign. Also, this year’s draft class at tight end is one of the best in recent memory, which is another way for the Eagles to address the position.

Nonetheless, we’ll see what the Eagles ultimately do with Goedert, as the 2025 NFL Draft is on the horizon.
