The Philadelphia Eagles will begin their postseason journey on Sunday afternoon as they take on the Green Bay Packers at Lincoln Financial Field. It will be the second time this season that the two teams will play each other, as the Eagles defeated the Packers, 34-29 in Week 1 in Brazil.

Heading into this week, most of the attention has been on the health of star quarterback Jalen Hurts, who missed the Eagles’ last two regular season games with a concussion. Hurts picked up the head injury in Philadelphia’s Week 15 loss to the Washington Commanders.

However, the good news for Eagles fans is that Hurts returned to practice on Wednesday and was listed as a limited participant. But fans are now concerned about star receiver A.J. Brown, who was not seen at the beginning of Thursday’s practice, per ESPN’s Tim McManus.

McManus reported that Brown left very early into Wednesday’s practice session with a staffer, which was the plan for him. The Eagles listed the veteran wideout as a limited participant with a knee injury.

Based on this info, you can understand why Eagles fans might be slightly nervous, given that Brown missed last year’s wildcard game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

However, John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia reported Brown is resting and not practicing Thursday to get him 100 percent ready for Sunday’s game against Green Bay. It is all a part of the plan.

McManus followed up with more info from the Eagles stating the team isn’t expressing concern about Brown’s status for Sunday and expects him to play.

The Eagles taking precautions with Brown so he’s ready for Sunday is a smart decision as he’s one of the main players in the passing game.

This season, the veteran wide receiver posted 67 receptions (97 targets) for 1,079 yards and seven touchdowns. In the regular season opener vs. Green Bay Brown had five receptions (10 targets) for 119 yards and a touchdown.
