With NFL free agency set to kickoff this week, most of the attention has been on Milton Williams, Josh Sweat, Zack Baun, and Mekhi Becton. All four Eagles players played instrumental roles in Philadelphia’s run to Super Bowl 59 and are set to get paid.

The Eagles made sure Baun never reached the open market, signing him to a three-year, $51 million contract extension, including $34 million guaranteed.

However, no one knows what to expect with Williams, Sweat, and Becton. All three guys are considered the top free agent options in this offseason’s class.

At the same time, the Eagles have several other players who will hit the market, including veteran cornerback Isaiah Rodgers, who is garnering attention ahead of the legal tampering period.

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC-2, Rodgers should have a healthy market, with teams like the Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Giants, and Dallas Cowboys viewed as potential landing spots.

On Saturday, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reported that the Giants may take a run at the 27-year-old cornerback.

The Eagles cannot afford to lose Rodgers to their division rivals this offseason, especially with them parting ways with Darius Slay and James Bradberry. Heading into free agency, Philly is set at CB1 with Quinyon Mitchell and the slot with Cooper DeJean.

However, there’s an opening at CB2, which would be the spot for Rodgers to take over. But with the rumored interest he’s getting on the open market, it's smart for him to explore his options.

This past season with the Eagles, Rodgers played well when his number was called upon. The veteran cornerback had 26 combined tackles, four pass deflections and a forced fumble in 15 regular season games (3 starts).

Rodgers continued his strong play in the postseason, amassing six combined tackles, three pass deflections, and a fumble recovery, which he returned for 40 yards in the second half against the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round.

According to PFF, Rodgers had a 76.0 overall grade (20th among qualified 223 cornerbacks), a solid 74 coverage grade (31st), and a good 80.6 run defense grade (14th).

After his stellar year with the Eagles, the veteran defender should get multiple lucrative deals in free agency. However, Philly fans hope Rodgers decides to come back and try to make another Super Bowl run.
