The Philadelphia Eagles defense has been able to keep the majority of impact pieces on the heels of the team's dominating Super Bowl run. It was the Philly defense that set the tone for an incredible finish to the season, tormenting Patrick Mahomes and making the league's favorite starter look shockingly human.

Still, the Eagles shouldn't be content to sit on the sidelines in the offseason and simply bet on the same results. Looking at every possible depth piece and upgrade is important if this isn't going to be just one dominating run, but the start of a dynasty.

With this in mind, recently released pass rusher Ogbo Okoronkwo could be a great addition. The Cleveland Browns' opting to move on is a bit of a surprise for a team lacking depth at the position. However, the veteran hasn't been consistent in his Cleveland tenure, making the move somewhat understandable. Okoronkwo totaled 7.5 sacks in his two seasons with the team. It was far from the production the Browns were hoping to earn from the veteran.

The Eagles Are a Perfect Landing Spot For Ogbo Okoronkwo

Okoronkwo only has 17.0 sacks in his career, but has never had the chance to play with a defense as talented as the one Philly can offer. Having the veteran as additional cheap depth simply cannot hurt. There isn't going to be an overwhelming market for the veteran.

The Eagles can offer Okoronkwo a one-year deal with the chance to play with the most talented defensive front in the league. It is easy to make the case that this is the best path for the pass rusher, earning a larger contract the following offseason. For Philly, it is a low-risk, potentially high-reward move a savvy front office has often made.

Okoronkwo might not be a household name, however, the veteran offers the Eagles a chance to add to an already loaded unit. It is the type of moves the Eagles have made throughout the last three seasons, helping turn around careers that were underwhelming with less capable franchises. It is a move at least worth exploring as Philly's offseason continues.
