Perhaps more than any other NFL team, the offensive line in front of Jalen Hurts is as important, if not more, than any other group lining up in the trenches, as the Philadelphia Eagles have become so precise with their execution of the "tush push" that their peers tried to outlaw the play.
A group can not be as effective as Philadelphia's offensive line without cohesion and continuity within the unit as a whole. The longer players line up alongside one another, the easier it is for those individuals to work together as the first line of defense for the man calling the shots in the huddle.
Philadelphia has been fortunate enough to have several veterans on both sides of the ball remain with the franchise for extended periods, but one key piece of the offensive line continues to hint at life after football and did so again just weeks ahead of training camp.
Lane Johnson Keeps Hinting at Retirement Plans Ahead of Eagles Camp
Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson was a guest on Wednesday's edition of Good Morning Football and, once again, the topic of how long the Eagles lifer plans to continue playing football at the highest level.
With Johnson approaching the mark set by Brandon Graham for most years played with the franchise, the future Hall of Famer said he would be honored to share that title with his longtime teammate, but is keenly aware that Father Time could have different plans as he enters his 13th season in Philadelphia.

"Yeah, it doesn't feel like No. 13, but here it is," Johnson said. "I still feel young in heart, but you can't ignore Father Time. I'm still having fun and enjoying what I do. I love being around the guys, competing, and it's just something that I really love doing every minute of it."
Whenever Johnson decides to hang up his cleats for good, he will be praised for the career he has had with the Eagles, as he played a large role in their two Super Bowl championships. Johnson has earned the right to make that choice for himself, though, and we know that fans in Philadelphia will always consider him among the greats to don an Eagles uniform.
Head coach Nick Sirianni and company, perhaps selfishly, hope that Johnson delays that decision for as long as possible, though, as his selection as a second-team All-Pro in 2024 proves that he is still at the top of his game.
