With rookie minicamp set to begin this weekend, the Philadelphia Eagles have signed some of their picks from the 2025 NFL Draft and announced their undrafted free agent class.
On Friday, the defending Super Bowl champion signed nine undrafted free agents, who will look to compete for a spot on the 53-man roster this summer during training camp.
The undrafted free agents whom the Eagles signed are as follows: wide receiver Darius Cooper (Tarleton State), linebacker Lance Dixon (Toledo), defensive back Maxen Hook (Toledo), defensive back Brandon Johnson (Oregon), running back Montrell Johnson (Florida), defensive back BJ Mayes (Texas A&M), WR Taylor Morin (Wake Forest), offensive lineman Hollin Pierce (Rutgers), and running back Shunderrick Powell (Central Arkansas).

The Eagles reportedly gave the former Rutgers offensive lineman a huge undrafted free-agent deal, getting $180K guaranteed, per Brooks Kubena of The Athletic. This means the Eagles must’ve liked what they saw from Pierce during the pre-draft process and believe he could be a potential piece down the road.

As for the other UDFA signings, it was notable to see Philadelphia get two defensive players from Toledo after spending their first-round pick on Quinyon Mitchell last year.
Many Eagles fans are excited about Hook, who played with Mitchell and had 107 combined tackles, four pass deflections, two interceptions, a tackle for loss, and a fumble recovery last year with the Rockets.
Lastly, Eagles fans will watch what happens in the backfield this summer, despite the team looking set with Saquon Barkley, AJ Dillon, and Will Shipley.
However, Powell and Johnson could make some noise and earn a spot on the practice squad. This past season at Central Arkansas, Powell had 1,343 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on 164 carries. He added 36 receptions for 318 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Johnson racked up 593 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 100 carries last year with the Florida Gators.
