Eagles Adding Another Pass Rusher in Wake of Brandon Graham Injury
The Philadelphia Eagles enter Week 13 as one of the hottest teams in the league. They have strung along a seven-game win streak after they defeated the Los Angeles Rams 37-20 on Sunday Night Football.
Despite that being an outstanding contest, the Eagles had longtime pass rusher Brandon Graham suffer a torn biceps that will sideline him for the remainder of the season.
Instead of standing pat, the Eagles decided to bring in another edge rusher on Tuesday.
Eagles News: Philadelphia Adds More Depth Along the Defensive Line
According to Mike Garafolo, the Eagles have claimed linebacker Charles Harris off of waivers on Tuesday. He was released by the Carolina Panthers on Monday but quickly found a new home in Philly.
This season, Harris suited up in nine games for Carolina, logging the second-most snaps along the EDGE (420). He's compiled 21 total tackles and three sacks. The Missouri product also has registered 16 total pressures, nine hurries, and four QB hits.
The Eagles needed more talent along the defensive end with both Bryce Huff placed on IR and Graham out for the year.
Harris came into the NFL as the first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. The 29-year-old has played on four teams in his eight-year career, notching 192 total tackles, 31 tackles for loss, and 19.5 sacks.
This is an underrated addition for the Eagles, giving them another option who can come off the bench as the Eagles make a push for the Super Bowl over the next two months.
