The Philadelphia Eagles saw their relationship with Bryce Huff deteriorate to the point where there was no other choice but to trade him out of the City of Brotherly Love.

What Howie Roseman and the Eagles front office had to accomplish in the meantime was finding an adequate replacement for Huff on Philadelphia's defensive front. After roughly six weeks of scouring the market, the Eagles have agreed to a deal with a veteran defensive end who should fit in nicely with the group in place.

Eagles Add Proven Veteran Ogbo Okoronkwo After Bryce Huff's Exit

While the terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed, Philadelphia is adding veteran defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo to the fold for the 2025 season, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Okoronkwo most recently played for the Cleveland Browns, but he's also suited up for the Houston Texans and Los Angeles Rams during his six-year NFL career. Now, he has an opportunity to show his worth to the football world as he joins an Eagles defense that will have plenty of eyes on them following their dominant win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

From a production standpoint, Philadelphia is adding an edge rusher who loves to get after opposing teams' quarterbacks. The former fifth-round pick out of the University of Oklahoma has racked up 132 tackles, 17 quarterback sacks, four forced fumbles, and 38 quarterback hits in 80 games.

With the quality of the players around him upgraded, those opportunities to blow up plays in the backfield should be plentiful for Okoronkwo. After a humbling experience in Cleveland, the defensive end should be arriving in Philadelphia with plenty to prove to his new coaches, Eagles fans, and those within the league who have written him off.
