The NFL scouting Combine is officially over and a wild month is ahead for NFL teams with free agency officially kicking off on March 12. The Philadelphia Eagles are preparing to lose a handful of key free agents after an impressive season culminating in becoming Super Bowl 59 Champions.
With just over $22 million in cap space they will prioritize the couple of players they feel can. Plus, not to mention a handful of Howie-esque discount signings hoping to hit another home run like Zach Baun or Mekhi Becton of 2024.
The 2025 NFL draft will be important for the Eagles to reload the coffers at some key positions. With key testing and some formal meetings behind us with the Combine. It is time for a Post-combine and pre-free agency Eagles-only mock draft!
Round 1, Pick 32: Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Ole Miss
Josh Sweat has been one Eagles free agent not afraid to pour cold water all over the off-season rumor mill regarding a potential departure. However, if we are being realistic, he is a top free agent, at a premium position. There are teams that can, and will, give Sweat a lot more than the Eagles can financially.
At pick 32, I bounced largely between edge or defensive tackle. Ultimately, landing on an edge. Moro Ojomo has shown some impressive promise behind Milton Williams at defensive tackle. Beyond Nolan Smith, if Sweat departs, Brandon Graham is likely retiring. Jalyx Hunt has given the Eagles another bright young edge rusher, but is still very raw. And we don't even need to talk about Bryce Huff.
Umanmielen screams Howie based purely on his traits and athleticism. He's got acceleration, speed and power. Not to mention he's undersized — just the way Howie likes his edge rushers.
I'm speculating that the Eagles LOVE Ole Miss EDGE Princely Umanmielen

1) 6'4.5 - 245 pounds (around the size Fangio likes)
2) 87th percentile RAS for EDGE rushers
3) Multiple years of great analytics in the SEC
4) Can rush passer, play run & drop into coverage
5) Will likely be… pic.twitter.com/bXnxOYXWXo
He showed great progression statistically in four years with Florida, before his transfer to Ole Miss. Then he exploded, finishing this past season with 14 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks and a forced fumble. He could plug and play from day one in the Eagles defense as a pass rusher and, with this staff, absolutely continue to ascend as a player.
