Cowboys Just Gave Eagles Incredible Gift Before Week 12 Kickoff
By Jovan Alford
Before the Philadelphia Eagles took the field against the Los Angeles Rams, they got some unlikely help Sunday afternoon from their most hated rival, the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys, who had lost five straight games, including to the Eagles in Week 10, went on the road and defeated the Washington Commanders. It wasn’t an easy win for Dallas, who tried to give the game away late in the fourth quarter, but they pulled it out.
If you are an Eagles fan, this is excellent news. A win tonight over the Rams would give Philly a bigger lead over the Commanders in the NFC East.
Philadelphia defeated Washington 26-18 to open up Week 11, making them a perfect 3-0 in the division. A win tonight makes the road tough for the Commanders, who have lost three straight games and now have to play an upset-minded Tennessee Titans team next week.
Washington is 2-2 in the division, with both wins coming over the Giants. The Commanders will see the Eagles in Week 16 and the Cowboys in Week 18 to end the regular season.
As for the Eagles, they are 3-0 in the NFC East and still have to play the Giants, Commanders, and Commanders in the final three weeks of the regular season. Luckily for Philadelphia, two of those games will be at Lincoln Financial Field.
That said, the Eagles cannot focus on the road ahead. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni must prepare his guys to compete and hopefully beat the Rams, who are fighting for first place in the NFC West.
