When Philadelphia Eagles' star defender Brandon Graham tore his triceps in Week 12, many fans assumed he had played his last game with the team. He had previously announced that he would retire after the season and the chances of him returning from his injury before the end of the season seemed highly unlikely.

However, now that the Eagles made the Super Bowl, things may have changed. The veteran defensive end could potentially make a surprise return in New Orleans against the Kansas City Chiefs.

On Monday, he went on 94.1 WIP and said he is taking "one day at a time," per PHLY's Zach Berman. The 36-year-old added that he feels good and will see what the doctors say leading up to the Super Bowl.

Brandon Graham Could Potentially Return for the Super Bowl

Graham obviously didn't give a firm update on his chances of playing. It sounds like the decision is out of his hands. However, the fact that he is feeling good two months after the injury is a good sign.

"This has been the easiest injury, I'd say, out of the injuries I've had. Upper body stuff is a little bit easier. .... It's just making sure I'm building muscle, I'm getting stronger and doing the right things to where I'm not re-hurting it. We'll see what the docs say, see what's going on, and go from there. "

Brandon Graham

Graham is in his 15th season with the Eagles. He already played more games than any player in franchise history. He has won a Super Bowl and accomplished everything a player potentially could in the NFL.

If this is his final season, playing in another Super Bowl and winning it would be the perfect retirement gift. Whether his injury or this postseason run by the Eagles changed the calculation for Graham remains to be seen. But whatever decision Graham makes, he will forever be remembered as an Eagles legend.
