The Philadelphia Eagles looked on their way to another close game in Week 8 after entering halftime tied 10-10 with the Cincinnati Bengals. However, Nick Sirianni's squad took flight in the second half, putting up 27 points to secure 37-17 victory.

Things might have been tighter, however, if Cincinnati's pivotal fourth down call near the end of the third quarter went differently. The Bengals looked to star wide receiver Ja'Marr Cahse on a short passing attempt, but Philadelphia's defense read it perfectly, taking him down behind the line of scrimmage.

That gave the Eagles the ball on Cincy's own 37-yard line, and they eventually got a field goal out of the possession, extending their lead 10.

Chase, who was the target on that attempt, made it clear following the contest he wasn't happy with what was dialed up.

Chase told reporters the fourth-down call is one he wishes the team could've "changed to something else." To his credit, head coach Zac Taylor also echoed what his wideout said, admitting the decision was "100%" on him.

The Eagles are no strangers to play-calling controversies, but it's a nice feeling to actually benefit from one this time around. There's also no guarantee Cincinnati would've done anything had it converted, or if that would've even mattered, considering how Jalen Hurts and co. were clicking over the final two quarters.

With big plays to his receivers and multiple scores on the ground, Hurts looked like the 2022 version of himself that lit up the league en route to finishing second in MVP voting. Hopefully the Eagles get more performances from the star QB like that heading into the second half of the year.
