One quality all sports fans share is their loyalty to their favorite team and players. However, some towns and cities are more passionate than others. Philadelphia is one of the NFL's most famous cities. Eagles fans will let coaches and players know how they feel about them at any given moment.

This dichotomy has led to some interesting interactions between fans and the team over the years. Most notably, there was the drama between head coach Nick Sirianni and the fans last season. On the other end of that spectrum, Eagles fans are some of the best at supporting their favorite players even if they aren't starters.

Former Eagles running back Boston Scott is a perfect example of that. Scott was a rotational piece to the backfield during his time in Philadelphia, but fans got behind him because he was electric with the ball in his hands.

That said, according to Jordan Schultz, the 30-year-old worked out with the Baltimore Ravens over the weekend. Schultz added that Scott is healthy and in terrific shape heading into this season.

Former Eagles RB Boston Scott Works Out With Ravens

Over six seasons with the Eagles, the former sixth-round pick used his speed to carve out a productive role on the team. Scott recorded 302 carries for 1,295 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also caught 71 passes for 566 yards and added one touchdown through the air.

Philadelphia didn't only utilize the 30-year-old's speed on offense, as he was an electric return man too. In six seasons, Scott returned 66 kickoffs for 1,502 yards, which is an average of 22.8 yards per return. While he was never a workhorse back for the Eagles, Scott was successful at what he was asked to do.

Even so, given his age, it's likely his speed has deteriorated somewhat. Therefore, it makes it more difficult for him to make a roster. Examining the Ravens' running back depth chart, it's hard to see where Scott would fit in.

Derrick Henry is Baltimore's unquestioned starter. Behind him, they have Justice Hill, Keaton Mitchell, and Rasheen Ali. Though Mitchell and Ali are dealing with injuries right now, they both had good performances in the Ravens' first preseason game and are younger than Scott.

Nevertheless, when Baltimore shows interest in you as a backup, it may get others' attention. As long as Scott doesn't end up back in the NFC, Eagles fans would love to see him get another shot in the NFL.
