The Philadelphia Eagles are heading to their second Super Bowl in three years. They have the perfect revenge opportunity against the Kansas City Chiefs after falling to Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII two years ago.

As the Chiefs are looking to complete a historic three-peat, the Eagles are hoping to win their first Lombardi Trophy since 2018. Kansas City provides a unique challenge to Philadelphia as a team that has made five Super Bowls in six seasons and is as experienced on the big stage as any team in NFL history.

To counter the Chiefs' potential edge over the Eagles, the team is making some changes in their mindset and preparation heading into the Super Bowl. Star wide receiver A.J. Brown told NBC Sports Philadelphia that he is taking a different approach this time around.

Eagles News: A.J. Brown Making Big Changes in Super Bowl Preparation

Brown revealed that he was too distracted in his previous Super Bowl appearance, feeling "like a paid actor" with all the media appearances he had to do. He admitted that he wasn't as concentrated on the game as he would have liked because his emotions were too palpable heading into the big game.

"Last time, I honestly felt like a paid actor during the whole week, just everything, so many interviews. The only part that felt like real football was the game. And so when you remove all those things and you’re just trying to focus on the game and that’s the only thing that matters. And just trying to win. Everything else is for everybody else."

The Super Bowl week is admittedly full of distractions. The players have to go through a seemingly endless number of events, interviews, parties, and media obligations. For a player who hasn't been in that situation, it can understandably be overwhelming.

In his previous Super Bowl appearance, Brown was still able to put up six catches for 96 yards and a touchdown. With increased concentration this time around, Brown will look to build upon the success he finally found against the Commanders on Sunday to win the first Lombardi Trophy of his career.
