Week 1 of the 2025 regular season is finally here as the Philadelphia Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football.
They'll be raising their second championship banner in front of a division rival, which is fitting for Philly, and the fact that Micah Parsons is no longer a Cowboy makes it that much better.
Nonetheless, the Eagles are focused on what's going on inside their building, and WR A.J. Brown shut down any notion that he won't play in Week 1. When asked if he would play on Thursday, Brown replied, "Hell, yeah.”

A.J. Brown Says He’s Suiting up in Week 1
Brown has been dealing with a hamstring injury all summer long, but the Eagles haven't seemed to be worried. They deemed it precautionary, and since he seems confident that he'll play, that should give Philly fans a sigh of relief.
During the 2024 season, Brown missed three games due to a hamstring injury, and they finished with a 1-2 record in those games. The Ole Miss product does have a history of soft tissue injuries, yet being able to use the last few weeks to rest up was huge.
Philadelphia is a run-heavy team, as they lead the NFL in carries (621) and were second in rushing yards (3,048) last season. Despite that, Brown is the No. 1 target in the passing attack. In 2024, he led the team in receiving yards (1,079) with 67 receptions and seven scores.
And throughout his career, Brown has been productive against the Cowboys. Over six games vs. Dallas, he has 35 catches for 475 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
He's someone that Jalen Hurts knows he can rely on and has created massive plays for this team. Getting out there for the season opener is big, especially since he has a history of hamstring injuries. These are the kind of things that could linger through the season, but everyone hopes that isn't the case.
Considering that it never seemed like he was going to miss this game, Eagles fans should expect to see Brown be his regular self. He plays a significant role within this offense and is ready to hit the field with his teammates to kick off the 2025 campaign and defend their NFL title.
