5. Philly's 1st-Round Pick in the 2025 NFL Draft

Let's get a little creative with the last item on this list. Like I said before, it's not overly easy to find sensible players on the chopping block for the Eagles, a team that already leads the NFL in dead cap for 2025 and will have even more to deal with after cutting players like Darius Slay and possibly James Bradberry.

What could be on the chopping block is Philly's 1st-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft if something like a Myles Garrett trade possibility comes about.

The Eagles hold the 32nd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and while that pick is the least desirable of all the 1st-rounders, it could represent an important, cost-controlled building block for a team like the Cleveland Browns. And it could end up being a very expendable asset for a team like the Eagles if a player like Myles Garrett is involved.

When it comes to veterans like Myles Garrett, you don't hoard NFL Draft picks. You make the deals that need to get done. Howie Roseman didn't hesitate a couple of years ago when the Tennessee Titans foolishly made AJ Brown available, and that has turned out to be such a smart move giving up 1st- and 3rd-round picks to get such an impactful receiver.

If Myles Garrett is actually available, or even a semi-comparable player, that first-round pick for the Eagles should absolutely be on the chopping block. They have every reason to invest heavily in the current window they are in, and you're not going to get a more impactful player at pick no. 32 in the 2025 NFL Draft than someone like Myles Garrett.

As of right now, it seems like the Browns are going to continue to play hardball. But if they relent, even in the slightest, that first-round pick is going to be on the chopping block and Howie Roseman won't miss it for one second if he can get a player like Garrett to come off the edge for him.
