4. Frank Reich, Former Panthers HC
Considering how much success Sirianni has had with another experienced coach hiring in Vic Fangio, he could follow the same path with his offensive coordinator hire. Frank Reich would be one of the most experienced offensive coordinators in the league if he were to go back to that role. He last held that role in Philadelphia in 2017, when he helped lead the team to the Super Bowl win.
Reich's career has taken a nosedive since then. After being hired as the Colts head coach in 2018, he led them to two postseason appearances in three years before being fired midseason in 2022.
After being hired in Carolina before the 2023 season, he became the first head coach ever to be fired midseason in back-to-back years.
How the famously impatient and incompetent Panthers conduct their business, however, doesn't say much about the quality of a coach.
Sirianni has always considered Reich a mentor and the two have a long history and a working relationship. Sirianni was Reich's quarterbacks coach with the Chargers for two seasons. The two met again in Indianapolis when Sirianni was his offensive coordinator for three seasons before being hired by the Eagles.
Plus, Reich knows the Eagles organization very well. Fans remember the dynamic Eagles offense and how well Carson Wentz was playing under him. He has worked with Howie Roseman before. Unlike most external hires, Reich's transition to his new role would be very smooth. He should be considered a serious option for the Eagles.
