Immediately following the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl win, offensive coordinator Kellen Moore was officially hired as the New Orleans Saints' new head coach. This was widely expected as it was reported before the big game that he was the frontrunner for the position. Nick Sirianni made a public plea for him to stay after the Super Bowl victory but that hasn't made a difference.

Now, Sirianni and the Eagles management are immediately tasked with the job to replace Moore. Whether they will go for an internal hire or look outside the organization remains to be seen but here are the leading candidates for the position.

1. Kevin Patullo, Eagles Pass Game Coordinator

If the Eagles opt for an internal hire to replace Kellen Moore, all signs point to pass game coordinator and associate head coach Kevin Patullo. When Sirianni was the Colts offensive coordinator, Patullo was the wide receivers coach and was later promoted to the pass game specialist role. When Sirianni was hired in Philadelphia, Patullo was one of his first hires. The two coaches go way back to their time in Kansas City when they were both beginning their careers.

Throughout the immense success the Eagles have found over the last couple of years, Patullo has gone under the radar. Despite Sirianni's complete trust in him, Patullo has little name recognition, both in and outside Philadelphia.

Patullo has been much more than just a pass game coordinator for the Eagles. Sirianni has previously said that he consults with Patullo before making any in-game or out-of-game decisions.

This could make Patullo an easy hire. The Eagles will presumably have most of their personnel back on the offensive side of the ball next season. An internal hire would allow them to continue running the same playbook.
