2. Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M

Sticking on theme here, the Eagles are known for always investing in the trenches. The Eagles have Josh Sweat hitting free agency and after a solid 2024 campaign and postseason run, he could have priced himself out of Philly.

Everyone knows that the Bryce Huff experiment didn't go over well in 2024, so there could be a need for another pass-rusher. That's where a player like Nic Scourton comes into the picture.

Scourton is listed at 6-foot-4, 280 pounds. He's physically imposing when he steps on the field and has a ton of exciting tools. The Texas native has good play recognition skills in the run game with an effective swim move to generate pressure as a pass-rusher.

He also owns a spin move that can leave offensive linemen in the dust.

In three collegiate seasons, Scourton had 109 total tackles, 31 TFLs, and 17 sacks. He's someone who would excel in Philly's scheme, giving them another athletic menace off the edge.

3. Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

Philadelphia fans already know how much Howie Roseman loves to tap into the Georgia well. He could have the chance to do it once again.

Yes, Chauncey Gardner Johnson is signed through 2026 but Reed Blankenship will be a free agent after the 2025 season. While it isn't a pressing need, it's never a bad idea to draft a year early instead of a year late.

Georgia safety Malaki Starks is an athletic thumper in the secondary. Starks is a willing tackler in the run game and looks to get physical. He uses his eyes extremely well in coverage and seeks to make plays on the football.

Over 43 games at Georgia, he compiled 197 total tackles, 17 pass deflections, six TFLs, and six interceptions. An underrated part of his game is the versatility he brings. He can line up in the slot, in the box, and over the top.

He logged at least 150 snaps at all three spots during each season with the Bulldogs. Having another chess piece on the backend is something that could be enticing to the Birds.

Drafting from Georgia worked well for Philly over the last few years. Why not do it again?
