The 2024 NFL trade deadline came and went without the Philadelphia Eagles making a single move. Entering Week 10 with an impressive 6-2 record, general manager Howie Roseman made it clear that he's confident enough in this year's Eagles to challenge for a Super Bowl.

After finding plenty of success thus far, the Eagles can't afford to take their foot off the gas pedal. Last year's second-half collpase is still on the fanbase's mind and the last thing that's needed is for history to repeat itself. If another meltdown is to be avoided, certain roster members must step up down the stretch.

Here's a look at three Eagles who are on thin ice following the trade deadline.

1. Jahan Dotson, WR

The Eagles added to their wide receiver room when they acquired Jahan Dotson from the Washington Commanders back in August in a deal that also involved four draft picks.

A former 2022 first-round selection, Dotson showed glimpses of potential while with the Commanders, hauling in 91 receptions for 1,112 yards and 11 touchdowns in his first two NFL season. With A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith garnering most of the attention from opposing defenses, Eagles fans hoped the 24-year-old playmaker would take his game to the next level following the trade.

If you've had a hard time finding Dotson on the field, you aren't the only one. The ex-Penn State WR has struggled to make much noise this year, catching only 7-of-14 targets for 71 receiving yards without a touchdown in eight games. He finished three of those outings without a single catch and didn't even reach the 30-yard mark in a game until Week 9.

Considering how the Eagles spent a third-round pick plus two seventh-rounders on him, it's safe to say that Dotson's first year in Philadelphia is extremely disapppointing. He's struggling to take advantage of favorable matchups as the WR3 and hasn't done enough to create chemistry with quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Dotson's rookie contract runs through the 2025 campaign, but that might not mean much. If his miserable production continues, the Eagles could opt to trade the Newark, NJ native next year given that they can rid themselves of his entire $3.257 million salary if they trade him at any point in the offseason, per Spotrac.
