The Philadelphia Eagles are turning their attention to the playoffs as the franchise has locked up the NFC East and is simply left fighting for postseason seeding. Still, even with dreams of another Super Bowl run floating around, fans can't help but turn an eye towards the offseason.
As with most offseasons, the Eagles will undergo changes between their expiring contracts and the need to replace underperforming individuals. There's no better time than now to think about these changes with the New Year just around the corner.
With that in mind, here are three Eagles who will leave the City of Brotherly Love in 2026.
1. Kevin Patullo, OC
The reasons why fans have been so incredibly frustrated with offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo were on full display in a closely fought Week 17 win. Patullo lacks any creativity and is incredibly predictable in how he runs the football and what downs the ball will be in the hands of running back Saquon Barkley. An offense that has every reason to be explosive is bland, even struggling to run the Tush-Push that was deemed an unfair advantage by rivals a season ago.
Now, the offense appears broken and relies on the defense anytime they are facing a capable roster. All of this sets up the need for Patullo to be fired, no matter how this season ends. Whether the Eagles defend last year's Super Bowl run or exit in the first round, the franchise deserves a far more capable OC. A coach that isn't afraid to mix things up and find creative ways to get the ball in the hands of his stars.
It doesn't help that, despite having an embarrassment of riches on offense, Patullo's unit is only averaging 5.3 yards per play (20th) and 22.6 points per game (19th).
Philly should have no problem attracting a more capable play caller based on the talent they have at the skill positions. Add in a strong offensive line and the stability of quarterback Jalen Hurts, and it would be shocking if the Eagles don't upgrade.
2. Dallas Goedert, TE
It is important to note that including Dallas Goedert on this list has to do with cap space and nothing to do with performance. The tight end is making a case as the best at his position to hit the market at the end of the 2025 season. Considering that Goedert has already previously taken a team discount to return to Philadelphia, it seems incredibly unlikely he follows this path again — especially if he's seeking one final payday.
Goedert could be due for a lot of money after tallying 591 receiving yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns on 60 catches in 15 games so far.
Philadelphia is already paying Barkley, DeVonta Smith, and A.J. Brown all reasonably high-paying deals at their respective positions. This leaves very little room to address the offseason needs, as well as bringing back Goedert. The more likely scenario is the Eagles opting to bring in Isaiah Likely or Kyle Pitts as their primary TE.
It seems that this is Goedert's final season with the franchise; he has helped make two Super Bowls and racked up no shortage of highlight moments. Making it clear that another needy team is going to be able to outbid the Eagles and end the pass-catcher's time with Philly.
3. Jahan Dotson, WR
It is hard to understand what exactly happened to Jahan Dotson, who put up two great seasons with the Washington Commanders before joining the Eagles. It wasn't as if the receiver was working in the most capable of systems, playing with quarterbacks Sam Howell and Taylor Heinicke. However, there is no avoiding that Dotson has been a complete frustration as Philly's third receiver, not living up to expectations or offering any form of consistent production.
He's only tallied 15 catches for 222 receiving yards and a touchdown through 16 games, giving him a 34-438-1 stat line in two seasons as an Eagle. For comparison, he posted lines of 35-523-7 and 49-518-4 in his two Commanders campaigns, illustrating how far he's fallen.
The inability to rely on Dotson makes the upcoming decision of his pending free agency obvious. There is zero reason to consider re-signing with the Eagles, needing to let the receiver walk away and look to upgrade the position. Whether in free agency or the draft, it is hard to believe that Philly isn't going to have an easy time finding a more consistent option.
For Dotson, it will be interesting to watch the rest of his career play out as fans wonder what the explanation might be for the severe regression. Regardless of the answer, it is clear that Dotson's time with the Eagles is coming to an end.
