3. Bryce Huff, DE

When the Eagles signed defensive end Bryce Huff in free agency, many people believed that he was going to be an electric pass rusher. He was brought in to be the replacement for Haason Reddick, who was traded to the New York Jets.

Huff landed a three-year, $51 million deal with $34 million guaranteed. He was coming off a career year with the Jets. The Memphis product logged 10 sacks, 67 pressures, and 45 QB hurries. He also had an 86.8 pass-rush grade (11th among 197 eligible EDGE rushers).

Things didn't trickle over into the 2024 season, though. He missed multiple games due to a wrist injury but even beforehand, things weren't looking promising. Huff was fifth among Eagles pass rushers in total snaps (298), playing in less than 50% of snaps in 11 games this season.

The 26-year-old recorded 13 total tackles, three TFLs, and 2.5 sacks. According to PFF, he notched a 69.7 overall grade (39th among 119 eligible EDGE rushers). Huff also finished with 20 pressures and 17 QB hurries.

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and Huff didn't appear to be on the same page all year long. Fangio felt comfortable giving Jalyx Hunt more reps over Huff, which tells you everything you need to know.

If the Eagles were to cut Huff this offseason, they would get hit with a $29 million dead cap hit per Spotrac, but it could be worth it to just move on from this disaster of a signing. Things haven't worked out, so the Eagles may be inclined to move on from him. And if they did, fans wouldn't mind it.
