3. Kenny Pickett, QB
With Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore going to New Orleans, he might want to take one of the QBs he worked with this season in Philadelphia.
Jalen Hurts is obviously off the table after his performance in Super Bowl 59, which led to him winning Super Bowl MVP. However, Moore might be interested in bringing Kenny Pickett or Tanner McKee with him to the Big Easy.
Between the two QBs, I could see the Eagles keeping McKee, who showed flashes of promise in his two appearances late in the regular season. The Eagles acquired Pickett from the Pittsburgh Steelers this past offseason to serve as the backup QB behind Hurts.
The former first-round pick played okay when his number was called in Week 16 against the Washington Commanders after Hurts went out with a concussion. Pickett then got the start against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17.
Overall, Pickett completed 59.5 percent of his passes for 291 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. With the Eagles having McKee still on his rookie deal, it's unlikely that they’ll pick up Pickett’s fifth-year option this offseason, opening the door for him to become a free agent in 2026.
The Saints’ QB situation is not great, as Derek Carr has a ton of money owed to him and is 33 years old. New Orleans has a young QB in Spencer Rattler, who they took in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Rattler might be the answer down the road or in the near future, but Moore would probably want to have a quarterback that he worked with in the past (Pickett) to help install his offense. That said, unlike the other two players on this list, the Eagles shouldn’t feel pressed to move Pickett.
