Stud: Jake Elliott

Hurts and Brown set the stage, but Elliott got to be the hero with his game-winning 54-yard boot in overtime.

Hitting a field goal from that range in any situation is tough enough. But doing it in overtime with the game on the line? You need to have ice water in your veins to do that, and Elliott proved he has buckets of it.

Elliott’s kick was perfect, too. Right down the middle and never a doubt.

Based on just that kick alone, Elliott’s an obvious stud for Week 4. It wasn’t his only contribution to the victory, though, as he also knocked in 3 field goals and 2 extra points earlier in the contest, doing much of the heavy lifting.

It’s easy to overlook kickers when they’re doing their jobs, but give Elliott his due here. If he misses any one of those kicks, we don’t win this game.

Fortunately for us, he’s been money all year, especially from distance. He’s now 13-for-14 on field goal attempts this season, with his lone miss coming from 50+ yards out. The former Pro Bowler is having arguably the best year of his career so far, and that was especially obvious on Sunday.
