2. Jalen Hurts Throws for 3+ Touchdowns

Jalen Hurts only has 1 passing touchdown in each game so far this season. But you know what this spot reminds me of?

We’re only one year removed from Hurts turning in a couple of unspectacular passing performances to start the 2022 season (0 touchdowns in Week 1, 1 TD and 1 INT in Week 2). Then he lit up the Commanders for 340 yards and 3 touchdowns in Week 3.

Hurts threw a season-high 37 pass attempts on Monday, and even in the blowout Brian Johnson finally seemed ready to start unleashing his MVP-caliber quarterback. Hurts’ chemistry with A.J. Brown looked as good as ever, and we’ve already seen earlier this year that he’s clicking with Devonta Smith again.

This isn’t the exact same Washington defense Hurts lit up last year, but there are still a ton of similarities and this unit has been unimpressive defending the pass again. The Commanders managed to stop Josh Dobbs in Week 1, but then Russell Wilson cooked them for 300 yards and 3 TDs in Week 2.

Kendall Fuller may be a threat to slow down one of the Eagles’ top wideouts, but that’s going to leave whichever of Brown or Smith he’s not covering free to wreak havoc all night.

With Hurts finally looking like he’s fully up to speed for the season, expect him to really put on a show to prove it in Week 4.
