The Philadelphia Eagles will make their home debut in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings following a close call on the road to begin the season. Fans are curious about the weather conditions ahead of this primetime matchup on Thursday night, especially considering the severe weather that hit the East Coast this past weekend.

Thankfully, it appears TNF will feature perfect football conditions.

Eagles-Vikings Thursday Night Football: Philadelphia Weather Forecast

According to Weather.com, Philadelphia is projected for a high of 78 degrees and low of 56 at night. There’s a minuscule chance of precipitation during the day, so fans won’t have to worry about the field being impacted in any way before game time.

By kickoff at 8:15 p.m. ET, the temperature is expected to be around 69 degrees with clear skies. Winds of up to 7 mph are expected from the north, and no rain is expected through the rest of the night.

This stress-free forecast is a welcome sight after heavy rain struck the area last week. Not only is there nothing to be concerned about in terms of the players’ performance, but fans heading to the game can expect ideal weather for a night game in primetime.

Hopefully the Eagles can take advantage of their home-field advantage to give them a boost on a short week. Historically, Philadelphia has also excelled on Thursdays, going an astounding 18-7 all-time since 1936, per StatMuse. That includes a whopping 7-1 record since 2016 alone.

Nick Sirianni has a great chance to help his team get to 8-1 on Thursday this week. Minnesota enters after a disappointing Week 1 performance that saw them upset at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Meanwhile, the Eagles found a way to nab a victory over the New England Patriots despite not playing anywhere near their best.

If the Vikings come out lackadaisical once again, we could see Jalen Hurts and company finally break out.
