Week 1 is prep is underway for the Philadelphia Eagles. The team held its first practice on Wednesday ahead of Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots, and plenty of excitement is in air with the regular season kickoff right around the corner.
However, Wednesday’s session ended on a sour note thanks to a possible injury.
#Eagles CB Josh Jobe was in the medical tent and is now heading indoors.

Josh Jobe Injury Update
Several beat reporters noted that cornerback Josh Jobe was forced to leave the field for some reason and he went to the medical tent near the end of practice. He then ended his day early by walking inside with a trainer.
We’ll have to wait on Philly’s official injury report, but it’s possible this is only a scare. Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia said Jobe seemed “OK” despite his unexpected departure.
Josh Jobe did leave practice while we were out there. He went to the medical tent and then inside but seemed OK. The Eagles have to release an injury report later today.

The team was also practicing in brutal heat on Wednesday — and even moved the session up to the morning to try to combat this — so it’d be no surprise if Jobe’s exit was due to the weather.
Citing heat concerns, the Eagles have moved up practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Team will now practice at 10:40 a.m. both days as opposed to the afternoon. Heat index in Philadelphia has hovered 100 degrees today.

Regular season opener is Sunday at New England.
Hopefully this does turn out to be nothing. Though Jobe isn’t starting in this secondary, he does provide valuable depth behind the likes of Darius Slay and James Bradberry. Jobe is also an important special teams contributor, playing 76% of the available snaps there last season.
That unit has already taken a hit after losing stud Shaun Bradley to a preseason Achilles tear, so it’d be unfortunate if they’re forced to make do without another important member in Week 1.
Wednesday’s injury report will provide further clarity on Jobe. If he was caused to depart due to something likes cramps, then there’s nothing to be overly concerned about.
