2. Josh Sills, OL

Even though offensive linemen don’t always get the praise they deserve, they’re still integral to building a championship roster. I’m not saying that Josh Sills would’ve single-handedly led the Eagles to a Super Bowl, but I did raise an eyebrow when he was released.

Sills proved that he’s a hard worker when he was only one of three undrafted players to crack the Eagles’ initial 53-man roster in 2022. Although he only played four special teams snaps in his only appearance, he still won Philadelphia fans over with his effort.

He also looked decent in the preseason, giving up just one sack over 102 offensive snaps — good for a PFF grade of 62.7.

A big reason why the Eagles will regret letting Sills go is his versatility. Even if he wouldn’t have been a starter, he proved during his college days that he’s capable of playing each guard and tackle position. With how quickly injuries can pile up across an 18-week slate, he’s the kind of Swiss Army knife that coaches love having on their roster.

Much like Wallace, Sills’ release is another ex-Eagles coach’s treasure. After all, the ex-Oklahoma State product was claimed by Shane Steichen’s Indianapolis Colts, who needed the OL depth.

If Sills proves that he can handle a bigger role by becoming a starter, it won’t take long for the Eagles to wish he was still around.
