2. Miami Dolphins

Speaking of teams from Florida, the Dolphins are in a similar boat as the Jaguars.

Miami has a potent offense that ranked as one of the best in the NFL last year, but the defense was a real issue. The Dolphins finished 24th in points allowed and 18th in yards allowed, which explains why they went 9-8 and just barely made the playoffs despite ranking 11th in points scored and sixth in total yards.

If Miami wants to compete in a loaded AFC East this year, it needs to step up on defense. Otherwise, Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers and Mac Jones are going to have a field day whenever they play this unit

.

Accordingly, Barnett would be a nice addition for the Dolphins, where he could certainly earn some quality playing time for Mike McDaniel’s squad.

This is a defense that only had two players record more than 4.5 sacks last year, and one of them (Melvin Ingram) is now a free agent.

Barnett’s presence would add some credibility to Miami’s unit and perhaps help it at least come closer to league average in 2023, especially if he can get back to being the player he was before his injury.
