5 Most Underpaid Eagles Heading Into the 2023 Season
4. D’Andre Swift
I’m not sure D’Andre Swift is quite as good a pure rusher as Miles Sanders, but the huge edge he has in the passing game means he’s just as good a fit in this offense. And frankly, he might even represent an upgrade when all is said and done.
That’s why it was an absolute no-brainer to give Swift $2.1 million per year rather than paying Sanders the $6.4 million per that he’s getting in Carolina.
Comparing Swift’s deal to other RBs who aren’t still on rookie deals, the one ranked below him in AAV is Travis Homer ($2.0 million) and the one above him is Brandon Bolden ($2.5 million).
Those guys are depth pieces at best, while Swift has all the tools to be a feature back in one of the NFL’s best offenses with the Eagles.
